Passengers (2016) is a sci-fi romance film set aboard the starship Avalon, which is transporting 5,000 hibernating passengers to a distant colony planet. Due to a malfunction, mechanical engineer Jim Preston (Chris Pratt) wakes up 90 years too early and, after a year of solitude, deliberately awakens writer Aurora Lane (Jennifer Lawrence) to avoid living alone.
